Most of the stories are taken from the last five years of Bill's regular monthly column in Birdwatch magazine, and cover such diverse subjects as bird racing in Hong Kong to a birder's dietary requirements. Often 'cut to fit' the available space in Birdwatch, the stories now appear in their original form, and are complemented by Bill's own drawings.
