Language: English, Spanish and scientific nomenclature
A laminated fold-out pamphlet to the mammals, including bats and marine mammals, of the Mexican states of Quintana Roo, Yucátan, and Campeche. For each species, English, Spanish and scientific names are given, with added Mayan and Nahuatl names for some species. Illustrations show the whole animals and tracks left by terrestrial mammals. Where appropriate several individuals are drawn to show variations in appearance between sexes, or between adults and young. When species are endangered this is indicated. Measurements are given for both the animal (distance between the tip of the snout and the base of the tail for an average-sized adult), and its tracks (distance across the widest point of the hindtrack). When folded, Mexico Mammals is approximately 9 cm by 22 cm and can easily fit into your pocket.
