About this book

Language: Chinese with English and scientific nomenclature and bilingual foreword in English and Chinese

Atlas of Birds in Dongzhaigang, Hainan sums up the history of bird surveys in the past, and presents the results of research carried out in recent years by experts and scholars in the protected areas of Dongzhaigang National Nature Reserve, located on Hainan Island in the South China Sea. The results are collected and collated here to provide bird watching enthusiasts with a large number of photographic images that comprehensively and systematically illustrate the wild birds of Dongzhaigang. The book contains a total of 18 bird orders, 53 families, and 208 species. This includes 52 species of migratory birds that are protected under the Sino-Australian agreement to protect migratory birds (previously this was 81 species), and 91 species of migratory birds included in the Sino-Japanese agreement (previously this was 227 species). A selection of 176 species are described in detail, and with stunning photography.
