Some species enjoy stationing themselves on the feeders perch bar, while some prefer to face the feeders head on using their peripheral vision to look
out for predators (2 easy fit perch rings are included with all New Generation and Classic feeders).
The ring-shaped moulding simply pushes
securely onto the perch rod. Some species are more enthusiastic than others about using standard perches when they feed. Greenfinches like the new
Perch Rings, as do normally reluctant perchers like robins and chaffinches. Comparatively agile blue tits and great tits, though, seem less bothered
and prefer to snatch food from the feeder.
