About this book

Covers all 110 world species. The Paridae (`true' tits and penduline tits) and Aegithalidae (long-tailed tits) form the bulk of the book with 78 species, with a further 24 species of nuthatch, and 8 of treecreeper. As with previous guides, there are introductory chapters, followed by the plates section, with colour plates facing captions and four-colour distribution maps. The remaining part of the book contains detailed species descriptions covering identification, geographical variation, voice, status, habitat and behaviour, distribution, movements and moult.
We welcome Standing Orders for all future volumes in the Helm Identification Guide series.
