About this product

These conical plankton nets fit the Professional Hand Net with Standard 250mm Frame. They are specialist net bags that act as a plankton filter on a frame - in the middle of the net is a detachable screw-on filter.

Four mesh sizes are available: 500µm, 250µm, 100µm and 53µm.

The mesh size of 250µm is most suitable for sampling surface Chironomid pupal exuviae (skins) when monitoring the water quality of lakes and rivers.
