The Batlogger A is a compact and weatherproof ultrasound recorder which records bat calls in full spectrum (16-bit). Powered by eight AA batteries and with microSD card storage, it is specifically designed for medium term passive deployments. Good quality alkaline or NiMH batteries will power the Batlogger A for a minimum of 30 hours recording (e.g. three 10 hour nights of recording) and it will support up to a 256GB microSDXC card.
A high quality FG-Black microphone connects to the recorder via a microphone extension cable (included) making it easy to position the microphone exactly where you want it. Adjustable trigger functions and delayed recording are also possible. Waterproof to IP67 standard (except the microphone capsule).
The Batlogger A is compatible with the free BatExplorer Software for Windows, which allows you to manage your recordings quickly and easily. You can listen to the recordings, expanded in time and thus in the audible range, as well as filter and sort your files to find the relevant data. Import, export and backup features simplify the handling of a large number of recordings. Analysis is easy with BatExplorer because the software automatically detects bat calls and displays them. Customisable spectrograms with zoom and measuring functions facilitate manual species identification whilst BatExplorer also includes computer-aided identification of species with the help of an integrated bat species library (European species). Requires Windows Media Player version 11 or above.
