Series subtitle has changed from Plant Collections from China and Mongolia to Plant Collections of the V.L. Komarov Botanical Institute after volume 10.
The data on which this series is based was collected in the 19th century by Russian scientists and later by Soviet-Chinese and Soviet-Mongolian expeditions. It was kept at the Komarov Botanical Institute, St Petersburg. The preparation of the text also took into account all the available literature.
