Species Status Assessment Project

The Species Status Assessment project assigns conservation status to our flora and fauna using the internationally-approved IUCN Red Data Book criteria and categories. These reviews are published in a new series entitles Species Status. Some reviews will include detailed data sheets, giving biological and other information relevant for conserving each species (for example, the Diptera reviews, Species Status numbers 2 and 3), while others will list the new conservation status assigned to each species, with supporting reasons and evidence for these judgements.
