About this book

Air & Water came about as a result of a conversation between Colin See-Paynton and Jon Ward-Allen and contains the complete collection of Colin's fish and fowl engravings from 1984 to 2004. Colin See-Paynton is well known as a distinguished exponent of the art of wood engraving. His work has gained international recognition and is based on meticulous observation of the natural world. His work is entirely individualistic but one can see influences of Thomas Bewick, Charles Tunnicliffe and Agnes Miller Parker. These beautiful engravings are accompanied by angling writing chosen by Keith Harwood.
