Keeping badgers out of an area can be a notoriously difficult challenge. Badgers are very strong and are known to burrow under or climb over standard fencing with ease. This specifically designed fencing is ideal for use where badger movements need to be restricted. It is designed to withstand the determination of badgers and is manufactured with high tensile wire which strains tighter than mild steel and so requires fewer intermediate posts, making it faster and easier to install. It does not stretch with weathering so will not need to be retightened annually. This fencing can be installed on post/rail fencing or be used as embankment netting.
The fencing comes in a roll of 50m, is 158 cm high and complies with British and European Standards for steel wire products.
Fencing should be dug into a depth of 600mm and folded outwards to prevent badgers from burrowing underneath it. To prevent the fence from being climbed, the top can be finished with a 45 degree overhang.
Please note that badger gates can be incorporated within the fencing for exclusion purposes (under licence).
