The work presented here will be useful as a reference source for barnacle biofouling. Emphasis is on ecophysiology and control technology. Specifically, reproductive ecology, functional cyprid morphology, larval biology, developmental physiology, respiratory metabolism, neuroendocrinology, settlement cues, and adhesion. The control technology section covers protective technologies encompassing antifouling paints, antifouling natural products from marine organisms, and control procedures used in power plant coating systems.
