This book is a compilation of 316 species of birds photographed by the authors in their natural habitats at various locations in the Indian state of Odisha. Each picture is accompanied by a description and interesting anecdotes. The purpose of this book is to provide an insight into the rich variety of avifauna found in Odisha, but that are poorly publicized. Birds have been placed in taxonomic order. Though no universal Odisha vernacular names are available, the authors have tried to mention local names where possible.
