This guidebook describes 50 day walks (7 km to 31 km) exploring the north east of Sardinia, across Gennargentu, Ogliastra and Barbaglia, from the mountains in the middle of the island to the dramatic eastern cliff coastline. Much of the walking is tough with some scrambling, through the wildest and most dramatic parts of Sardinia.

Paddy Dillon is a prolific guidebook writer with over 40 books to his name. He has walked in every county in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland as well as in Nepal, Tibet, the Canadian Rockies and much of Europe.
"Sardinia’s intricate network of paths has long been unknown to the millions of visitors who flock to the island’s beaches. But for those who venture off the beaten track they offer a wide range of challenges and a long sunny walking season. This guidebook covers the highest and wildest parts of the island including the rugged Ogliastra coast, the barren Supramonte and the Genergentu mountains further inland. Much of the mountain walking is tough with some scrambling. The photographs are mostly by the author and show his love of the island and the amazing landscape that this island has to offer. Another island to add to the list of must do’s."
