About this book

The Assynt and Coigach area possesses some of the most dramatic and varied scenery in north west Scotland. From Point of Stoer in the north to Ben Mor Coigach in the south, from Enard Bay in the west to the Assynt mountains in the east. It is difficult to travel around this area and not become intoxicated by the sheer splendour and variety of landscape.

The guide includes explanations of features in the following areas: the cnoc and lochan scenery around Stac Pollaidh, glaciated rock surfaces on Canisp, periglacial features on Beinn an Fhurain, caves in the Allt nan Uamh Valley and coastal landforms on the Stoer Peninsula
