Volume 3, Fascicle 3 (pages 333-576) covers the second half of the ungulates and describes the rodents of Belgian Congo and Ruanda-Urundi (which later became Rwanda and Burundi). A French summary for the whole of the ungulates (pages 247-422), includes those decribed in fascicle 2 is included here, as well as a French summary for the rodents (pages 435-536). An appendix lists additional specimens gathered during the second world war, that were received by the museum while this volume was with the publisher in 1946. Finally, an index to the species treated in the whole of volume 3 is included.
