These Bird Ringing Pliers are for use with split rings - as used by most of the national birding schemes around the world including BTO, SAFRING, USFWS and ABBBS. These ringing pliers can also be used to close split rings supplied by smaller companies specialising in caged birds. The new design features longer handles to increase power when closing large rings. The handles have a slight inward curve to ensure no increase on the open spread of the handles. All sizes of split ring between 8 and 22 mm can now be closed much more easily.
These pliers have been designed to close rings greater than 8 mm in diameter. They feature 2 elliptical holes measuring 16 x 6mm and 14 x 7mm and are suitable for BTO sizes F to L. The ringing pliers are made of stainless steel.
The Bird Ringing (Banding) Pliers are supplied with a lanyard for convenient use.
