About this book

Language: Bilingual in English and German

Volume 7 of Terralog portrays the agamid lizards of southern Asia in two parts. The present first part is an illustration of the subfamily Draconinae, which will be completed in Volume 7b that will also then cover the subfamily Leiolepidinae.

The present treatise contains colour photographs of several species that have never before been pictured in colour, and most are depicted in a manner to outline their sexual dichromatism. Photographs of juveniles, various natural habitats, as well as some as yet undescribed species complement the photographic collection. A symbol-based summary of the individual biological requirements is meant to provide a guideline for the husbandry and propagation of the individual species. Its wealth of more than 530 colour photographs makes Terralog the photographic reference for both scientists and herpetoculturists. At the same time, it is a unique synopsis that enables every lover of nature to marvel at the colourful splendour and variability of Asian agamids in a manner second to none.
