About this book

Language: Italian

This is a new edition of this atlas to the fauna and flora of the Adriatic Sea. After the previous 2012 edition went out of print, the publisher considered it inappropriate to simply reprint the book, but rather to update and revise the previous edition with new information. In addition to many new species, the spatial references have been extended to the lower Veneto (the lower Venice lagoon and the Tegnùe area), the northern part of the Marche (up to the area under the Conero) and the open waters. This work describes 820 organisms; in addition to those that live in the sea they are many others that have an inseparable relationship with the sea, at least where territorial and physiographic aspects are concerned: among these are marine birds, the upper plants existing on coastal dunes, terrestrial molluscs and those freshwater ones present on dune vegetation and in the backwater wetlands. In almost all cases they were photographed in their natural environment, to highlight their characteristics and habits.
