A companion to the Big Cat Diary: Lion and Leopard, and designed to complement the BBC television series, this book explores the lives of cheetahs in the Masai Mara and beyond, and in particular, their history, biology, behaviour and conservation. As well as a detailed examination of biology and behaviour, Scott provides an historical perspective of the cheetah families featured in the series. Finally, Scott discusses the conservation measures required to ensure that big cat populations survive.

Presenter, author and photographer Jonathan Scott has written a number of books including Mara Serengeti, Dawn to Dusk and Kingdom of the Lions. Both he and his wife Angie are previous winners of the prestigious BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year award, and their stunning photographs appear in all three Big Cat Diary books.
