Whether you are a keen birdwatcher or just someone who enjoys birds this video is a must. We have visited many sites throughout the county in search of birds, many common and familiar species along with a host of migrants both common and rare.
Some visited our county for only a brief spell just long enough to be captured on video. You can sit in comfort and see for yourself the many and varied species at your leisure.
Yet again we sail aboard the Scillonian III full to the gunnels with birders on her annual pelagic trip to the Western Approaches in search of ocean going seabirds.
We visit a ringing site in deepest west Cornwall and get an insight into why it is necessary to collect data about bird migration, what kind of species they are, where they have come from and where they are going. There is also a small section on butterflies and dragonflies for the insect enthusiast, along with views of our beautiful Cornish scenery.
Highlights include:- Pied-billed Grebe, Night Heron, White Stork, American Wigeon, Blue-winged Teal, Ross's Gull, Kumlein's Gull, Red-rumped Swallow and Pallas's Warbler.
Running time: 77 minutes. Full commentary throughout. Remastered from the original DV recording.
