The Bhindawas Wildlife Sanctuary is a wetland that is uniquely located at the confluence of three major biogeographic zones in India, the sub-Himalayan montane, Indo-Gangetic plains and the semi-desert, meaning that representative resident and migratory bird species of all three zones may be observed here. This book describes thirty-three species endemic to South Asia and another twenty threatened species that have all been observed in this sanctuary.
