Flora Vascular de la Républica Argentina, Volume 3 Poaceae is the first volume to be published in a new Spanish flora that follows up on the Flora Fanerogamica Argentina that was published in 106 fascicles between 1992 and 2008. This installment, published in two volumes, includes 9 subfamilies, 21 tribes, 178 genera, 1150 species and 142 taxons at the infraspecific rank.
Of all the species treated for Argentina, a total of 806 are native (70.09%), 176 are endemic (15.3%) and 168 are introduced (14.61%). The subfamily Pooideae is the best represented in Argentina, with 560 species, of which 132 are endemic (23.57%), 332 native (59.29%) and 96 introduced (17.14%). This is followed by the Panicoideae with 339 species, of which only 9 are endemic (2.65%), 283 native (83.48%) and 47 introduced (13.86%), and then Chloridoideae with 162 species, of which 20 are endemic (12.35%), 123 native (75.93%) and 19 introduced (11.73%).
