Language: Russian with scientific nomenclature
The third volume of the Flora of Belarus contains a complete summary of vascular plants, mostly from monocot families. Specifically, it deals with the second part of the monotcotyledons, covering the families Agavaceae, Alliaceae, Amaryllidaceae, Asparagaceae, Aspholedaceae., Cannaceae, Colchicaceae, Convalliriaceae, Cyperaceae, Dioscoraeceae, Iridaceae, Ixioliraceae, Hemerocallidaceae, Hostaceae, Hyacinthaceae, Juncaceae, Liliaceae, Melanthiaceae, Ophiopogonaceae, Orchidaceae, Pontederiaceae, Tofieldiaceae, and Trilliceae.
The book contains a systematic part, which describes the characteristics and gives dichotomous keys to identify families, genera and species. This volumes includes wild, as well as virtually all cultivated species in Belarus. For each species, Latin, Russian and Belarusian names, major synonyms, a morphological description, ecology, distribution throughout the country, specific localities and point cartography is given, as well as the general distribution for large areas and continents, the number of chromosomes and practical value. For most species, illustrations are presented in the form of original drawings and colour photographs.
