Simon Leather is currently Reader in Applied Ecology in the Department of Biological Sciences at Imperial College's Silwood Park campus. He has been researching the population biology of agricultural and forest pests, particularly insects, for over 25 years.
This book was a great read. I enjoyed all of the chapters and it should be part of anyone's library who is interested in issues of sampling in theory and practice. Coverage is excellent and there's enough material to plan sampling or to discuss it in a wider context.
