Wendy Nelson is one of New Zealand's leading experts in the field of marine macroalgae and has been named a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the marine environment. She works with the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) and has more than three decades of published research to her name.
