Comprises a general review of the classification and external morphology of the mite family Phytoseiidae in Greece and Cyprus. The book deals, with dichotomous keys, with 102 species in 3 subfamilies, 8 tribes, 6 subtribes, 21 genera and 2 subgenera. 13 species are described as new to science.

Each species is illustrated with standardized scale of dorsal and ventral shields, chelicera, spermatheca and leg IV of the female and (if known) ventrianal shield and chelicera with spermatodactyl of the male.
