About this book
Anyone who has ever paddled down, fished in, or relaxed along one of America's rivers understands their power to nourish, inspire, and enchant--but until now, no book has truly captured the river's majesty.
Award-winning author, conservationist, and photographer Tim Palmer has spent his life exploring and learning about these sometimes peaceful, sometimes turbulent waterways, and in the pages of Rivers of America he shares his amazing images. An incomparable collection of nearly 200 stunning photographs from all across the United States, Rivers of America celebrates the essence of flowing water like no other book before it. Accompanying the dazzling images are Palmer's eloquent essays, in which he describes the magic of rivers and their vital ecological role in our lives.
