John Pease moved to Taynish in 1935 where he spent the rest of his life engaged in farming and building work. He loved the place and its surroundings, their unique character, and the people who lived and still live there.
This book is the result of John's intimate knowledge of the area and its people. Those who remember him will recognise his natural style. Since his death in 2007, Mary McLauchlan and his brother George Pease have edited his writing which stands as a valuable record of community life and local people.
The photographs have been chosen from family collections and donations from friends.
