The Vosker V150 is a fully wireless security camera, complete with a battery, solar power, and cutting-edge 4G cellular technology for remote notifications and data retrieval. The built-in solar panel and rechargeable 10,000mAh battery pack provide the camera with an extremely long operating life, allowing it to be deployed in the field for many months at a time. The free Vosker app can be used to remotely configure the camera from anywhere in the world, as well as allowing the user to remotely access its images.
With an impressive 5-zone, wide-angle PIR motion sensor, a 0.4-second trigger speed, and a 24-meter flash range coupled with a 27-meter detection range, the V150 is capable of capturing fast-moving animals at a considerable distance. During the day, it captures 1920 x 1080 color images, while at night it uses a high-powered 4 LED infrared flash to record black and white photos. It can be set to take 1-2 photos per detection, to increase the delay between trigger events (from no time to 30 minutes), and comes with three optional sensitivity settings to reduce the number of blank photos that are taken. Date, time, and moon phase can all be set, and will be stamped on each photo along with the temperature at the time of the trigger event. All settings can be remotely accessed and changed via the mobile and web apps.
All images can be remotely accessed, and various data plans are available to allow access at a price that suits the user. For the first 7 days, unlimited images are transmitted for free, beyond which a paid plan is required. The basic plan, costing 10€ per month or a 108€ one-off fee, allows for 500 SD photos and 10 HD photos to be transmitted. The "Alerted" plan, worth 15€ a month or a 162€ one-off payment, allows for 1000 SD photos and 20 HD photos per month, and an "Elite Plan" worth 20€ monthly or a 216€ one-time fee allows for unlimited SD photos and up to 40 HD photos. After the first year of use, the cost of your plan is reduced by 10%. Regardless of the subscription, all photos will be saved to the camera's microSD card (included) in HD format for manual retrieval later.
One unique feature of Vosker's camera range is their patented AI technology, which allows media to be filtered before sending. Through the app, the user can decide whether to filter out unwanted images, sorting the media by activity that the AI recognizes as containing humans, vehicles, or animals, providing a great option for minimizing unnecessary transmissions.
Upon purchase, the lithium battery will need to be charged for 12-24 hours (depending on the type of charger and battery level). It must be removed from the camera and plugged in, at which point a red light will indicate that it is charging. Once the light turns green, it is fully charged. An additional power source can be added via the 5V MicroUSB port, but this cannot be used to charge the lithium battery.
