Test the functioning of your Batlogger or Batscanner detector with this compact device. Ideal for a quick check prior to your survey or bat walk.
The device features two test modes which are designed for the Batlogger or Batscanner. These produce different pulse sequences which are optimised for the detector type.
Testing your detector is simple: just place the tester with the speaker directly in front of the microphone then press the 'BATLOGGER' or 'BATSCANNER' button, at which point the status LED will indicate that an ultrasound output is being produced. Finally, just check whether the test pulses are being recorded (Batlogger) or transformed into the audible range as expected (Batscanner).
