The Les Houches Summer School is one of the best established and most widely known summer schools in physics. The lecture notes have been published in textbook format since 1951. Many of these books have become classics in their field and are still selling at a remarkable rate. Currently there are two summer schools per year (in July and August) and the corresponding lecture notes are published within 12-18 months after the school. The sessions are aimed primarily towards advanced students and young postdoctoral researchers, willing to deepen their knowledge or to start in a new field.
