A total of 170 species are described and illustrated, while 96 species are only illustrated. All photos have been taken in the wild, most of them by the author, except for 18 species where the name of the photographer is mentioned. species are briefly described, with the use of a minimum of botanical terms. General distribution, the distribution in Iran, habitat and altitudinal range, flowering time and the locality or localities where the photos in this book are from are given. There is also a map showing their distribution in Iran. The star on these distribution maps shows the place where the plant was photographed.
