About this book

A witty, contemporary fable about an adorable bear who loves to hug everything in the forest, even a beaver. What he loves most of all though are trees. So one day when he sees a man staring at a tree, he is sure that the man must love trees as much as him. When the man begins to chop down the tree, the bear succeeds in containing his anger, gives the man a hug instead, and manages to save the tree. Deftly working simultaneous themes of nature conservation and self-control, Oldland is on strong form with this much-loved story.
