About this book

Language: German

Since birds lack teeth, they do not chew their food and swallow their prey whole. Indigestible parts such as feathers and bones are then regurgitated as pellets. With the help of the drawings in this illustrated key, it is also possible for the layman to reliably determine the small mammal skulls contained in pellets, and to thus learn more about the eating habits of local birds of prey.
