The objective of this work is to emphasize the enormous importance of the Fuente de Piedra Lagoon, a wetland situated in the Málaga province of Spain, for the avifauna. For this, the phenology of the 87 most characteristic species and the status of a total of 231 species are described, together with a panoramic aerial photograph of the lagoon in which the most important place names have been included.

On the other side is an introduction to the history of the Natural Reserve and descriptions of the four natural environments characteristic of this reserve, which have been represented in four watercolour illustrations in which a total of 87 different species of birds have been included.

El objetivo de esta obra es resaltar la enorme importancia de este espacio natural para la avifauna. Para ello se describe, por un lado, la fenología de las 87 especies más características y el estatus de un total de 231 especies, junto a una fotografía aérea panorámica de la laguna en la que se han incluido los topónimos más importantes.

Por el otro lado se muestra una introducción sobre la historia de la Reserva Natural y la descripción de los cuatro ambientes naturales característicos del espacio natural, los cuales han sido representados en cuatro acuarelas en las que se han incluido un total de 87 especies de aves diferentes.
