Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, is a fabulous place to spend a holiday birdwatching. It offers a wide range of habitats which are home to many resident bird species, and it's use of traditional farming methods have helped preserve many species which have declined elsewhere in Europe. This one-hour film has been made during two short trips to the island in May & June 2009. It also includes a one day trip to the neighbouring island of Corsica. Both Sardinia and Corsica have a lot to offer the travelling birdwatcher, far more than is covered here, however this film has hopefully captured the essence of both islands and will encourage you to visit at least one of them.
