This book is a combination of long-term research on Chinese Elateroidea, checking through zoological records, and consulting the Titan database and related scientific literature. The author refers to various published works (including catalogues, papers and monographs) to record all Chinese species of the beetle superfamily Elateroidea. Nine families, 295 genera and 2,770 species/subspecies are included in this book, in which Artematopodidae have one genus and three species; Eucnemidae 15 genera and 24 species; Throscidae one genus and two species; Elateridae 173 genera and 1515 species/subspecies; Lycidae 40 genera and 273 species/ subspecies; Rhagophthalmidae one genus and 21 species/subspecies; Lampyridae 23 genera and 134 species/ subspecies; Omethidae one genus and two species; and Cantharidae 40 genera and 796 species/ subspecies. All the tribes under subfamilies, the genera under tribes and the species/subspecies under genera are presented alphabetically. The whole volume shares a combination of literature, instead of separated ones for each family, and it includes all literature of each record of any taxa up to the end of 2019.
