With the aim of providing more information for the development of the management plan and better understanding of the CRP ecosystem, this second expedition was mounted jointly between the Institute for Tropical Biology and Conservation, Universiti Malaysia Sabah as the leading agency for the Research and Education Component of the BBEC programme and Sabah Parks, the leading agency for the Park Management Component. This was done during 26 August to 14 September 2002.
In total there were 70 participants from 15 agencies. From the expedition Crocker Range Scientific Expedition was produced with the objective of documenting the flora, fauna and ecosystem of CRP. This executive summary will try to provide an insight into the findings of researchers who participated in the expedition.
