About this book

Many visitors to the Isles of Scilly enjoy the wildflowers that contribute much to make the scenery so different. Many of the plants are native species but very noticeable on the islands are a host of very unusual plants, some more commonly seen in warmer climates such as the Mediterranean. This little pocketbook guide is intended to give just a taste of the more common plants that can be seen by the visitor to Scilly. Some alien plants as well as a few of the Scilly "specialities" are also included. The flowers have been arranged by habitats with a brief text accompanying the photos with notes on colour or similar species.
