Language: Chinese with English summary and scientific nomenclature
The present work deals with the Chinese Scorpaeniformes. It comprises two parts: the introduction and the systematic description. The main contents may briefly be outlined
First part: Introduction
The Scorpaenoid fishes of China are represented by 20 families, 96 genera and 185 species. The families Cottidae, Hemilepidotidae, Agonidae, Psychrolutidae, Ereuniidae, and Hemitripteridae are represented by 16 genera nad 21 species, the Liparidae by 2 genera and 6 species, Cyclopteridae by 1 genus and 1 species, Hexagrammidae by 2 genera and 4 species, Scorpaenidae by 28 genera and 61 speceis, Platycephalidae by 12 genera and 16 species, Parabembridae by 1 genus and 1 species, Bembridae by 1 genus and 1 species, Hoplichthyidae by 1 genus and 3 species, Triglidae by 5 genera and 22 species, Peristediidae by 4 genera and 9 species, Synanceiidae by 6 genera and 16 species, Aploactidae by 14 genera and 22 species, Dactylopteridae by 3 genera and 4 species. Caracanthidae by 1 genus and 1 species.
The faunal composition of the Scorpaenoid fishes of China is represented by the families Scorpaenidae, Platycephalidae, Aploactidae, Synanceiidae, are also fairly well represented, while the representation of the other families is very weak.
In a manner that depends upon the combind morphorlogical characteristics as well as correlated with ecology and distribution, and comparison with other orders and families that a phylogenetic diagram of the Chinese scorpaenoid fishes is proposed and the relationships of the genera of Chinese scorpaenoid fishes are shown in a phylogenetic tree.
