Biography

Rachel Lawston is a children’s author, book designer and natural history enthusiast. She is a keen amateur orchid hunter, birdwatcher and bat detector! She has worked with many publishers as a designer, including Walker Books and Penguin Random House. She loves volunteering with education at WWT London Wetland Centre in Barnes, where husband Paul is the Learning Manager. Paul Lawston is also an Environmental Education Consultant who brings his natural history expertise to Finn’s Garden Friends.

Lia Visirin is a new talent in children’s book illustration. Her beautiful, original palette and eye for detail is a perfect match for Finn’s world.
