Covers the following families: Azollaceae, Dicksoniaceae, Equisetaceae, Isoetaceae, Lophosoriaceae, Marsileaceae, Oleandraceae, Ophioglossaceae, Osmundaceae, Plagiogyriaceae, Psilotaceae, Salviniaceae, and Thelypteridaceae. A total of 15 genera and 88 species are described of which 14 species (16%) and 1 subspecies (all belonging to the Thelypteridaceae) are endemic to Cuba. Also 18 natural interspecific hybrids of the Thelypteridaceae are briefly described in relation to their morphology, habitat and distribution.
