The first comprehensive account of the flora of Bhagwan Mahavir National Park and adjoinings, the only one National Park in Goa which is located in Northern Western Ghats, the Western Ghats is one of the biodiversity hotspots and has recently been declared as a natural World Heritage Site. Systematic account of 722 species of flowering plants in wild belonging to 492 genera and 122 families and 40 cultivated species. 4 maps and about 220 color photographs in 27 photo plates are provided. 128 endemic plants have been recorded. 24 new plant reports for Goa state.
