About this book

Language: Bilingual in English and Chinese

The Hong Kong Birdwatching Society has now caught up with report production. This important report covers an average year and as usual includes species counts for the year. It is again larger than usual but the excellent standards are maintained.

About half Hong Kong Bird Report 2011 is taken up with the Systematic List 2011 which covers the 402 Category I & II species recorded in Hong Kong during the period with updated taxonomy where necessary. There are reports for 3 new species for Hong Kong; Bulwer's Petrel, Northern Goshawk and Ashy Woodswallow. There are papers covering the first breeding records for Brown Wood Owl, the seasonality of Acrocephalus and Locustella warblers at Mai Po and notes on roosting Barn Swallow and Eastern Yellow Wagtails.
