About this book

This is the companion volume to the landmark text Microfungi on Land Plants, first published in 1985 and considers those 730 species of fungi which occur on mosses, other fungi, soil etc. Groups of fungi covered include discomycetes, other ascomycetes, hyphomycetes, coelomycetes, phycomycetes and mainly on bryophytes and fungi, a few small basidiomycetes.

This book was first published in 1988, with a new enlarged edition published by Richmond in 1997, although no updating of names was undetaken for that reprint. The enlarged edition subsequently went out of print, and was reprinted again, without modifications, in 2017.
