NHBS Pooter

About this product

Based on the classic Pooter design, the NHBS Pooter is an affordable, easy-to-use piece of entomological equipment that allows for the safe collection of smaller specimens that would otherwise be too delicate to handle.

Ideal for both mini beast hunts for younger children or as a useful scientific tool for entomologists, the NHBS pooter is very simple to use. Consisting of a magnifying pot with two plastic suction tubes, specimens can be easily collected by pointing the clear tube at the intended specimen whilst gently sucking through the green tube. Insects are then collected in the pot and identification is aided via the built-in 3.5x magnification lid.

A small plastic stopper with a mesh-covered aperture attached to the end of the green tube allows for continuous airflow whilst simultaneously preventing insects from being sucked up into the mouth.

The tubes are easily removed for disinfecting between uses.
