This folding hand lens is an ideal addition to any naturalist's field kit. With a 21mm glass lens comprised of three layers of fully coated glass to optimise the resolution and colour correction of the observed image it's excellently suited for the observation of plants, invertebrates, and similar natural subjects. Robustly constructed with an alloy frame and brushed steel housing and supplied with a hard leather case, it is able to withstand the rigours of being carried in a pocket or kit bag. For an extra layer of security, the lens has a small loop for the attachment of a lanyard.
This model features 15x magnification which is great for particularly fine work and 6 LED lights to help illuminate subjects in low light. In addition, there is a UV bulb to view flora and fauna with fluorescent properties.
To use a hand lens, hold it close to your eye then bring the specimen up to the lens until the point where it is in focus.
