The Kern OZL-46 series is comprised of reasonably priced, professional-standard stereo microscopes. Prioritising a streamlined user experience and flexible range of applications, with high-quality components to provide excellent results. The 20mm high eyepoint widefield (HWF) eyepieces allow the user to view an increased section of the subject while not needing to place their eyes so close the optics, allowing for more comfortable operation, while fully adjustable transmitted and incident 3W LED illumination allows for excellent customisation of lighting. The large work area allows for the manipulation of larger samples, making the OZL-46 an excellent choice for dissections. The zoom objective provides 7x-45x cointinuous magnification. A trinocular version of the OZL-46 with a phototube is available to make photomicroscopy with a clip-on camera and C-mount simple. 

The eye pieces feature an ergonomic 45° tilt making them comfortable to use, and the head can rotate 360°. Both eyepieces offer dioptre compensation, allowing the user to adjust the image to their eyesight, and with an adjustable interpupillary distance of 55mm-75mm they can be tailored to the comfort of the user. It's an excellent tool for laboraties, professionals, and serious hobbyists across the natural sciences.
