Conservation International

Since 1987, Conservation International has been working to protect endangered species and habitats around the world.

Conservation International’s publications include Tropical Field Guides and the handy-sized Tropical Pocket Guides.  Among Conservation International’s initiatives is the Rapid Assessment Programme, which aims to gather biological information rapidly about little-known regions that are important for conservation. The Rapid Assessment Programme’s (RAP) Bulletins contain the results of these surveys.

American-based Conservation International has helped establish 1,200 protected areas and conserve more than 730 million hectares of land, marine and coastal areas since it was founded in 1987.

NHBS is the UK distributor of many of the titles published by Conservation International.
